Now I have to wait another 3-4 hours to even call as I am on Eastern time and I'm sure nobody gets to work until at least 9am out there.
Starting to wonder if maybe this is a sign from above telling me to stay home.
I did find out that they charged 1 of the 2 registrations I faxed to my card. So
maybe at least one of us can go!

I too do not understand the difficulty they have with registration. I FAXED in my registration the first week of April for 2 entries. The next week my money was taken out of my account but come end of may i still had not recieved my tickets to print via email as they told me i would. Afte numerous calls and e mails i finally got somebody on the phone. She said they had entered my e mail wrong in the system so the e mail never went through.......She then asked if i would like my tickets e mailed or sent to via USPS. I told her e mail would be fine.......2 days went by still no e mails. After a couple more calls i finally recieved my e mails and printed off my tickets a week or so later my window entry came in the mail and guess what was with them?? Hard copies of the tickets that she sent me via EMAIL!!.....So i guess now ill have to take the hard copies and the printed copies because i assume one of them probably will not work........Its is unbelievable that an event this big has so many issues with registration.

I had a similar problem last year when I didn't receive the tickets prior to the event. When I arrived at Beech Bend the NHRA had a tent set up and a list of those who signed up, I was out of there in about two minutes.

some one new has taken over the running of this event. it started last year. its a bean counter now who runs the registration. I still liked it when you could go the host hotel and register the day before.

So to update....Just got off the phone with the NHRA lady. She was helpful in
a way but still a bit vague on why they had only processed one of my 2 faxed registrations.
She acknowledged that she had rec'd both of them at 7am on the 30th of May, and
that she had both on her list, but that they had then been sent to the show and shine
ticket people to be processed and that is where the wheels fell off the cart.
Now, we will both have to go to will call and pick up our creds and I may have to
pay for mine then as they may not charge my card before that! I wonder if these
    folks have heard about computers!
Anyway I guess I will be making the drive and hoping for the best, but if I drive 7 hours
and then have to deal with idiots, well lets just say I hope bail money is available.

The NHRA does what they feel is to their benefit whether or not the racers, fans, or track owners like it. It's all about the money. This is one organization that has been as screwed up as a football bat for decades. Some people may not like this post and that's just too bad. The truth may not be pleasant but it's still the truth. Little inconveniences like this registration thing are just the tip of the iceberg. If you want to race at their events be prepared to jump through as many hoops as necessary and expect favoritism and behind the scenes collusion at every turn. Just don't be surprised.........

It rains every year don't it? Gets hot and humid. Rains. Then gets humid again. It's Kentucky for ya.

2013 was the best weather year yet. Temperature was in the 70's and not a drop of rain. Lets hope for a repeat!

Rain X works better than wipers! Ive never had a hot rod with wipers. I just keep a bottle of Rain-X in all the hot rods!

Wednesday a.m. for us at 7:00. Looks like they are calling for rain (70%) right
now all the way down from SW Michigan to Bowling Green. Not looking forward to
that but looks to be only about 10% each day after we get there.
