So I’ve committed to purchase this intake, at first I thought it was a dual plane. Little research tells me it’s essentially the Strip Dominator open plenum, but with a divider casted in.

No worries, I’ll own it soon, this is a spread bore version.

Wondering what to expect on a 302 Ford mild cam, 9.2/3 CR. Current heads are what was on the engine out of a 71- 4, 3/4 ton van.

Just looking for “been there, done that” or opinions from someone who knew someone who did.

I recall GM using a quadrajet on 305’s, but with a variable emulsion tube? I think it was, that was adjusted with a dwell meter. I understand they can be converted or fixed into position. Plus they’re a dime a dozen on a old site I used to frequent. In fact I think one of the 2nd Gen F bodies I had, also had one on a 350.

    Anyways, about that intake…

    Thanks

There is an old thread on here from 2012 with some good responses. I've ran about every sbf intake but that one. I would say for street use you won't notice any difference in any of them.
