The Muntz looks great out there on the dirt even if the cleanup is a pain.

I had to play the video with the sound off so my daughter wouldn't give me that 'what the Hell are you doing listening to that"? question though.

After doing some extra work at movies shot here in Shreveport LA area I learned a lot about the movie business. I have been all day at a shoot for about 3 minutes of movie time. Different camera angles can make you shoot the same shot 8 or 9 times until it looks right to the director. I even drove one of my vehicles in a movie, not HAMB type car LOL though. That vehicle is actually what my screen name is, can you figure it out? Also movies don't "waste" money, they have a budget person that keeps the movie out of the red. There is always a reason for everything they do, union rules, safety rules and so on. The movie people work incredibly hard for 3 to 6 weeks to shoot the movie, usually 14 to 16 hours a day, 5 days a week. Union rules require 2 days off after 5 days of shooting although that does not neccessarily mean Saturday and Sunday off. You usually get fed well especially big screen movies. The people I have come across were generally nice including the stars I met. Some liked to talk to you, others were more distant but I have never seen any being rude.

These folks were EXTREMELY professional, and asked me to hang around my car fulltime just to avoid that type of situation. They asked for my permission on anything related to the Muntz.

No Screen Actors Guild card, yet! But I do have a much deeper respect, and appreciation for that entire industry now. The thousands of man-hours that are expended for a few seconds of entertainment....
The Muntz was a nameless, non-descript, bit-player to launch some New Jersey kids to further Disney stardom. It does look kinda bitchen' speeding on the dirt, though!

Its a look into a different world thats for sure..glad you and the Muntz survived, hopefully a little richer.. I was a "Greensman" for a local shooting of a series awhile back called "Blue and Grey", "North and South" something like that..We were out on a ranch of some friends of ours, and the scene they picked had a multi-story building way in the background, so we got permission from the landowners and cut down a whole tree, moved it with our gen-pole truck and propped it up in the scene to blot out the building..We were paid well and spent most of the day in the catering tent...

There was no music being played when they were filming![IMG]
As a side-note, the stunt double for the actress (the driver of my car) was even cuter than the female lead! Oh yeah, the camera DOES add 10-15 lbs! The "talent" was pretty skinny....
