I dig brunettes...but if I had to go with a blonde, it would be one of the girls in the woody. As far as the cars go, I love the El Camino and I'm not even a Chevy guy.
has anyone seen the movies....BOOK OF LOVE or MISCHIEF?......hella good movies, lots of famous cars, mercs, hot rods ,etc...
I feared it was something like this. Basically just another (yawn) Pro Street 57 Chevy Sad to see happen to this car indeed......
there is a movie with a another yellow 57 Chevy called "Return to Macon County." and how about "Moonshine Highway" with that hot rod Lincoln and the 55 Chevy.
Hey Don, Just watched it on the computer through the Crackle.com link provided by rcr81 and wondered which car was yours. I saw a Model A roadster and wondered if that was it. Where were you when it was filmed? I saw this plaque on the back of the sedan delivery .....
The reviews for HK say that it's a cross between American Graffiti and Animal House. That's probably fair. I also dug the Starliner, Cobra, and the GTO. It kills me when Tony Danza backs the '57 out after the P47/Jeep story and goes forward without turning the wheel. I have HK on VCR still. Anyone know how tough it is to pause a VCR tape on the part where the cheerleader spins around with no shorts? That part of the tape has GOT to be stretched.
There are a mul***ude of car movies out there that are not all that well known but well worth the watch...You have your popular two lane blacktop, california Kid, American Graffiti as well as hollywood knights, Personally I like the above as well as: Moonshine Highway...great 54 lincoln tanker, 50 Merc, 55 chevy Return To Macon County, Nick nolte and Don Johnson in a yellow 57 Lively Set, a bit to "beach Movie Style' for me but great cars Last America Hero Supposedly based on Jr Johnson Biography Many great truckin' movies, Car Horror movies, Strett Racing movies If You are going to Spring Carlisle take a break and stop at NJ 15-17 and I will put anything above in the DVD, you can sit and watch it...Moonlight Movies
I have a copy of the soundtrack in vinyl, framed and on the wall of the man-cave. Bought it in that old-record store in downtown Sacramento about 20 years ago. I've never seen the soundtrack on c***ette or CD.
I have just learnt that a buddy of mine has the 61 Starliner out of this movie in his storage shop. Dark blue if I recall seeing it in his shop.

I remember Project X rumblin' in.. that's it. Probably says more about me than the movie. It was'nt great. Like all popular car movies- un-great. 'Boulevard Nights' was better; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQSaXWtw9zM
I love that movie. I really care less about socially redeeming values. I like the fun of it. It it reminiscent of running around with my older cousins in the 60s. Even my wife get a laugh out of it. For a while she even wanted a chevy wagon.
