I was chatting with an old rodder the other day and he was telling me about his 55 chevy he has. it has changed color over the years and the wheels too. In the early 60's he was running "Hollywood Mags" on his car. he discribed them as a 5 star but the arm on the star's wer hexagon and had a round center cap that said hollywood.

Has anyone seen these wheels before? or does anyone know of a site that has a picture of them?

    thanks!

I have seen Hollywood Wheels that were similar to Radirs, I think that a lot of different names were applied to wheels from a few foundries. I've seen Sears similar to Fenton Hawks, etc etc. But those wheels above are the*****.

My question of he day is...if a company no longer is making a certain product, say from like 15-20 years ago, why can't a newer wheel making co. pick up and re-make certain wheels designs again? If there is a demand and market for it that is? We all know that we would go******** over these HollyWood wheels that are shown here. KNUX!

Toolin' out the molds for wheels and such ain't cheap, and are even harder to get ahold of.

Super******in' wheels though. If they ever came back, I'd HAVE to have 'em!

Here's a January 1966 HotRod Magazine ad originally posted by Steamboat.
It doesn't mention the name Hollywood, but they look just like Harry's Hollywood wheels in the photo.

They are some of my favorite wheels out there. Good luck finding a set.

    I have a pair of Hollywood's. They are 15" x 5" with a 5 x 5 1/2" bolt pattern. The rim was originally chrome.

It looks like maybe the name is in-correct? The Hollywoods that i see of yours look like old American Racing type unless "Hollywood" had different designs? KNUX!

These are the Hollywoods that I am familiar with... the outer rims are always rusted out.

Like I said. They probably made different designs. I don't doubt you...in the ad that was posted on the wheels being talked about in general, they are called the STINGRAY. KNUX!

Those stingray wheels would be absolutely perfect on a 63-67 vette coupe w/ pinner whites. They look pretty awesome on that Poncho too. Also great wheels for a 63-65 riv.
