home built dropped lower A frame

A few years ago(15 or 20) I saw a 54 Chevy this guy built and the front was lowered real nice. The dude told me he had cut the a frame and lowered it instead of using dropped spindles. I haven't found any info on this method. Any help would be appreciated. I'm working on my 66 Chevy p/u. Thanks Budrow.

 

This is how one guy did it on his '51 Chevy. I'm not sure how well it would work on your '66 but it might help.
