Home built pneumatic foot control

    I typed a long message when the HAMB crashed today.....

    Here's the short of it...

    Wasn't there a thread that had a home built foot control for a blast cabinet, planishing hammer or something...

    I can't seem to find it.....

    Want a cheap one for my blast cabinet....

    scroll down to near the bottom. but this one is only good for something small like a planishing hammer. not enough volume for a blaster. i haven't done it, but if i were to build a foot control for a blast cabinet, i'd get a big, 3/4" or so, ball valve, and build a foot control with a linkage connecting it to the lever of the ball valve, should flow a ton of air, whatever a ton of air is.

    ray: that's pretty cool........i may have to give that a go.....some people are really good at problem solving....

    Maybe you saw this one.

    I built it for my Planishing hammer, out of a Throttle Pedal and the case of a Diegrinder...

    I made mine from a $10 Harbor freight sandblasting gizzy. It was already threaded on the ends so it was really easy to do.

    i think that was it......i'll dig through my pile of air tools that are shot......****, i think i just threw a couple away last week.....see, that's why i keep almost EVERYTHING.....

    it's the reason i don't have any room in my shop, too.....


    ok, plowboy, what is the secret handshake for knowing what a "gizzy" is?:D

    Gizzy=sandblast nozzle. At least I think that is what you call it.
