Home made header muffler insert, how to!!

Cold nothing to do so I thought I would make the ole coupe a little easier on the ears!!

Old catalyst can from last paint job and some adapters left over from last diesel exhaust job..



a little drilling here and there




a little adjustment for a better fit




like a glove





now to weld, notice the extra area to increase veloicty to help HP




now the test fit



now the most important part



super sweet



thought this might warm up the cold cold day.

 

Anyone know how to apply for a patent .

Neat idea! I probably won't use a catalyst can, but I like the idea of using exhaust pipe reducers as the insert holder......

That's cool and a good idea.But on my car I would burn the can up and blow it out like a rocket .Blower has already tried to do it with a stainless insert .My 2 cents

 

it blew the r19 bats out real quick, but it really sounds good. i was really surprised. if it burns out the can in about 5 min i can make another insert. you guys are going to love the vid.
