Homemade brake bleeder for bail top master cylinders?

    Gravity bleeding works very well for me.

    Although if you have a frame mounted MC this may not work.

    I use a Mighty-Vac va*** pump fast and easy. Just keep your master topped off. Also a good idea to put a few wraps of Teflon tape around your bleeder screw threads. It prevents air from getting by the threads when open and helps keep the valves from corroding once tightened. Mike

    Modern dual master cylinder caps are vented to the top of the gasket, NOT to the fluid!

    Yeah, old-ish thread but, I have to say you need to make 2 friends.
    1 to keep the mc full and 1 to watch for the bubbles to stop in the catch can while you get the cushy job of pumping the pedal while creating a vacuum on the top of a bottle/can of beer.
