6-71 said some interesting things. First what is a "feed store", and second isn't electrolisis the same as the electrolytic process they use to anodize aluminum. I don't see how that can be used the same time as soda blasting.
a feed store is a store where a farmer would buy food for cows, chickens, things used to grow food, second the electrolisis process he is refering to is used on steel parts to remove rust mostly, heres a youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vT2mdXBs8
Hey thanks for the information. Once I get set up I think I'll save a little money and head down to the co op. I tried using one of these sand blasters with soda. It worked, but it went through my little 1 lb box of soda and cleared about 4" by 4" spot. Thus I believe it's putting out way too much media. Either the hose is too big or the nozzle is too big. If I come up with a new soda blasting design I'll post it.
Here's what I ended up doing. I just used a reducer thingy on the hose part and it worked excellent with regular dollar store baking soda. I've heard people say to use laundry detergent, however on this forum someone said it causes a big h***le http://bikerflorida.com/forum/index.php?topic=309.0 I have yet to try it.
I have a 500 iron propane tank. Do youm think I will be able to make it a commercial blaster or an air tank ? I heard it will give some kind of electric shock or something like that. Please help...
