I am not a trophy guy and I usually leave an event before they give out awards. I did make one for myself that I carry in the old car. I am not sure if 3rd place POS is better or worse then 1st place POS but anyway here it is. A0D0434D-8531-43C8-B94C-1C21C2231FD4-resized.jpeg

So...is your the 3rd worse POS or the 3rd best POS? Very vague. but congratulations.

Here are a couple trophies that I made this year (with some help from @Pist-n-Broke for the cool torch head, @Kim Strobeck for the free shipping, and @Ryan for the Alliance tags). They are to be awarded to two HAMB members at Lloyd Fest III this year.
I cast the resin bases with appropriate bits "floating" in each, engine turned the backs and polished the bajeebies out of EVERYTHING!.

The torch (an old HEAVY brass head with the coolest mixture knobs ever that @Pist-n-Broke couldn't get parts for any longer and generously donated to the cause) I titled "the MacGyver". I left the determination up the boys of the meaning, perhaps a body work award, maybe jury-rigging prize, may best applied creativity in a hostage situation? Like I said, I left it open to their interpretation (and level of sobriety). And yes, there is an antique striker in the base as well as some mig tips for a torch head I no longer have.

I used this paint gun to paint numerous cars in my youth. It also served a primer gun before being retired. It isn't a Sharp (I couldn't afford that), but it wasn't HF ('cuz they didn't exist 40 years ago). The base has a paint can opener, air fittings, razor blade and some of my DNA unintentionally.
    trophy3.jpg
The Paint gun trophy is "The Picasso". Maybe best paint? I don't care for all Picasso's work so maybe best abstract or cubist? Worse paint on a hot rod set against the post war era in Haight-Ashbury? Perhaps a build theme that may require the end viewer to be high on hallucinogenics or partially blind? Again, it's not my place to judge, but to create and enlighten.

According to @Lloyd's paint & glass, he received them, yet they remain unopened, “hermetically sealed” and “kept in a mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnalls’ porch since noon today”. They will be unboxed at Lloyd Fest III this summer. I hope they have as much fun opening, awarding and owning them as I did in their creation.

  10. Dang B-B, if I had known that old torch was going to look better than new I would have just paid you to detail it and made a place for it in my Trophy room for all its many years of service. Well done pal! Geezzz, if it could only talk the stories it could tell.

IMG_3581.jpeg IMG_3354.jpeg I chopped this’36 in 1979 & sold it in 1985, unfortunately the caretaker past away last year. There was a memorial show for him, so I made this trophy for him and presented to his wife. It’s 4” of the A puller I had kicking around my garage for the last 40 years. IMG_3582.jpeg p
