ABSOLUTELY! Plus, the Coker Tire Showroom and collection are in an adjacent building. If you have the time Chattanooga has a great aquarium as well. Here's a thread I made when we went last year: Honest Charley tour.
A must do if your into old hotrods. If you get a chance talk to Mike Goodman. He can answer any question you have and if not knows who does. Just a great guy to talk to. "He says" (If you have a question, Give me a call 24/7 I'll answer the phone unless I'm getting a piece)
It's on my "bucket list"...... Anytime we are in a place on vacation, etc.... we try to go to the local speed shops, hot rod places of interest, visit backyard builders, etc. Just came back from a week in L.A...... went to So Cal Speed Shop - Mooneyes - NHRA MUSEUM & a stop at Kiwi Kev's. Honest Charlie has a LONG HISTORY in hot rodding.
Also take the "Incline" to the top of lookout mt. and visit Rock City and Some awsome civil war stuff while at the top of the mt.
Back in the day before FedEx and UPS, we used to order speed parts from "Honest Charley Speed Shop" and have them shipped by Greyhound Bus. Kudo's to Corky Coker and the guy's for saving a little piece of Hot Rodding History...
The answer is YES! You need to stop by Honest Charley Speed Shop! If you want the full tour, stop at the Coker Tire showroom (next door to Honest Charley) at 10am or 2pm. The tour guide, Ramie Brown, will walk you through the place....pretty cool deal!
So that only leaves Mon. thru mid-day on Wed. he'll answer the phone. He heads south midday Wednesday's to "get a piece" and is busy until he returns on Monday.
