Looks like Astro Supremes on the Mind Binder (I wonder if that's what they intended on naming it, or if they misspelled it.) Has anyone seen the Mind Binder go down the track or have pictures of it?

Bummer......I guess I'll need to make a call and tell them to shove their Motor Trend and extend my Street Rodder or refund.....

I first met R&C in July '61, when I bumped into the last small issue while we were on leave from posting in Colombia and managed to get my Father to front me the staggering 25 cent price. It got my attention and I read it to tatters, even though much of the tech in there was beyond me.
Next issue was the famous FIRST LARGE ("and still only 25 cents" right on the cover!) which set the hook permanently. My basic reaction to the famous cover image was "So THAT'S what a car is supposed to look like!!", and that's where my personal development was permanently arrested!
Anther high light of my existence, a decade or so later, was blowing a dollar on a motley stck of early small car mags and discovering that I had accidentally scored Volume1, issue 1 of R&C! It took me a while to convince myself that it was real, due to the odd title change...

I guess I'll put my next subscription $$ into Hot Rod Deluxe. I already get Hot Rod and Street Rodder and I'll just give any Motor Trends I get away.
As it is I only save Rodders Journal (I have every one) , HRD and Eastern Rodder. The rest I give away when I'm done reading them.

I'm as guilty of reading electronic media as the next guy. I love the HAMB, Bangshift and Roadkill.

I did not mention HRD in superstitious dread that it might be next in line at the gallows...
Then they'll probably sell the Petersen/Trend archives as scrap paper.

  7. What's hilarious is my bud just called. R&C subscription just called today trying to get him to renew and he's already good to 2020. The guy on the phone said R&C was good to go.
