hood emblem help

I would love to know what these came off of. It is solid brass

 

I'd say it looks like a 36 Chevrolet off the top of my head.

 

I looked that up it is close but not quite it

 

dont know what its off, but its very cool.

 

48 chevy is close maybe

 

I'm thinking more like Pontiac.

 

I believe it's a 37 Chevrolet.

I'm wondering if the factory would have used cast brass in '37. Pot metal would be more like it. SOOOO if it's brass, maybe it's a early reproduction piece!!!

 

I kind of thought the same thing. If you look at the bottom of it where you bolt it on there are no holes in it.

 

Unlike pot metal, they'll chrome up beautifully...and stay that way...
