HOOD-mounted Tach (Period Correct)

    Hello guys...

    My Rambler drag car originally ran a cowl mounted tach as shown here around 1967-70'ish.

    I want to get it as close to this photo as possible... Do you guys think it was a standard instrument cup? Or did they have something weatherproof made for external mounting? I am familiar with OEM ones, but not aftermarket one...

    it looks like an early AUTO METER TACH. i had one that looked like that back in 71

    The original owner told me it was a Sun... Was your Auto meter on the inside of the car?

    I remember that car from an issue of Car Craft a few years back.
