Hood Props?

Hood props ,whats everyone using? Any cool pics post them up!

 

No pic, but a club I belonged to in college used a bar stool leg for their '54 Desoto

 

I sure don't understand doing cool modifications to a car and then using some stick to hold the hood up. Why not use the springs and hinges that come on the car?

 

My son uses in his 53 Ford a column shift rod.
