Anybody know of a video showing how how to make those "S" shapes scoops on the hood sids of a lot of Kustom Mercs?,
lots of mercs had em, they look like this. you simply make the cuts in the shape you want, form the metal so it turns into a scoop, weld 1/4" round rod to the edges and bodywork and paint
I just saw a car here on the HAMB where the owner was putting this style scoop on his hood. he made the "scoop" by welding sheet metal to the hood, rather than cutting the hood itself. it was tacked in place in the picture. probably how they did the hood that @swade41 posted
My friend used to put them in all of customs he built, cut the "S" push the front side in and weld in a filler panel, it's pretty traditional.
