Dick, the car looks great. When I think about packaging all the stuff inside the body my head starts to hurt. It will blow some minds on the street for sure. Awesome job. Like my dad used to say "I wish that was mine and you had a nicer one". Gary
Two tone is the way to go, but try Silver on top with a Red bottom. Maybe separated with a silver pinstripe in the red. Or what you have with a silver separation stripe.
James that is beautiful. Thanks a bunch.I don't know about numbers,I do owe Dickster27 and Shop #10 some space on the belly pan
Found the missing part, thanks Gmcbubba,it's a nice unit. Mallory with a mechanical tach drive. I worked on the grill surround and opened up some more air flow on the chin.
I seen Grits where's the project build threads. It got me to thinking how boring a build it can get thru the build process. I've been working on the grill surrounds and the 2 pieces seem like they have taken forever. I went back and looked. I started making them on May 22nd. That's almost three weeks working on two parts. They should be finished tomorrow. Watching a real time build is slow.Anyway here are the two surrounds after 3 weeks. my grandson checking out the fit.
yeah james d. does rule at photoshop. here's a minor modification. I think it needs some sort of covers over the front hairpins too.. I also wanted to see it white on red. I thought it would look real old timey. This car is amazing. I have been following it the whole time. You are getting really close! Be careful on the grill. its starting to look a little cluttered. maybe once its in primer no?
The belly pan does cover the front suspension. It wasn't on the car when the photo was used in photoshop.I think the whole thing looks alot different on the car and looking down on it.Looking the front straight in the eye is a different view.Yes it is getting close to running.I like that red and white a lot. Thanks
I stopped by Dicks place today and I gotta say, this thing looks better in person than the pictures. Oh, Sorry dick, i dont mean to say that you photography sucks. i mean to day the hoodlum is really bitchin in person. Sorry about forgetting the axle in your garage - I'll get it next time. The hoodlum looks great
The car is wired and just about ready to be fired. I need to add a remote oil filter,I'm running out of room, then it's ready to try.
I wish.I am commited to finishing this build in the fall.No fun for Dick until the paint is dried.Things are moving along, now if I could get someone to buy this fFord. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=489542&highlight=fford
Fired the engine last night.Sounds good, oil pressure is strong,no major leaks. I don't know how to post video, Rob Lee has some and will put it up later.
That thing is coming along great,I wasn't sure in the beginning where you were going but your vision skills are gooder. Seeya
Just located this thread, excellent work. let us know when you post the video, would love to hear it run. Also, let us know if you will be taking it to any more shows, looking forward to seeing it.
Still melting from last winter. No I just had fresh rock laid in the alley behind my house.Yesterday it was a tandem truck load in front of the garage door.
Took it out again,it's running good, the engine is quick and responsive.Drives straight, stops good. After 3 1/2 years this feels great.
That's awesome man!!! It's going to be incredible when it's all said and done. I still see snow though.
