I kinda like the hoodless look on some 50's cars, but you rearlly need to be showing somthing off. Here's my F1 from a few years back.
Granted it's a free country, but what some people like some others don't. The difference is you don't have to shove a thought down someones throat. Alot of guys take pride in what ever they have built. Some even went to the extreme of puttung the "R" word cause it doesn't have a hood. I have a picture of my dad in 1957 at Hunter AFB Ga, standing in front of his 40 Ford with no hood. It just has two strombergs on the Flattie, but the expression on his face makes it look like he won the Oakland roadster show. He was just a young B-47 Crew Chief with no money like most kids his age.
thank god i live where i can choose to run with or without my hood atleast for a few more years. One time at band camp friend came by shop with hood off so we took hoods off our cars then cruzed to town got some weird looks.
I dig your old pickup a LOT! It was one of the bad influences I considered when I freshened mine up five years ago...
