I've been getting out, but not really "taking chances". I don't visit my friends at the hot rod shop in town, don't go next door to bs with my hot rodding neighbor, wear gloves at filling station, and a mask if I go in.
Anybody have an idea of how this affecting the fire departments? My next door neighbor is a fireman. Seems like he's hardly ever home the past month. His yard is usually always perfectly well trimmed. I've cut my gr*** 3 times already, his is a foot tall. I suspect he's working lots to make up for firemen out being quarinteened, but haven't heard. Hard to social distance when you're part of a team like they are. I'd be very happy to mow his gr*** for him if that's the case (lol, but it is snowing today)
Fairlane:.........sounds like you need to tone down the motel room partying a bit. :D

I'm looking at security camera systems too. Someone I know just did a hardwired one and he says you'd be amazed at the amount of people stopping at houses just to look them over. Bought reloading aids for me and the GF's 9mm magazines, spent a while practicing with her on Sunday. Its all in the wrist. I carry short shotguns in both cars daily now and about 50 shells.

I was in Florida in early March, was as sick as a dog there (not the virus) and went to the doctor when I got back. Upper respiratory thing and lungs full of green stuff. Definitely had it going before we went and it took another week to clear up once I had medicine.

I'm teleworking, but I think people must feel guilty because they schedule me on teleconferences every 30 minutes. I don't even have time to surf for parts....

I retire tomorrow, glad to be out. We now have to wear masks when we are out and about in the building, the masks they gave us DO NOT FIT... so as engineers, we are rigging them up to work. We have to do a health check-in from home, get a green light, then have our temperatures checked in the parking lot.

I have a lot of work to do around the house before it gets too hot. Soffit and fascia on one side of the garage, getting someone in to power wash the deck and house and new gutters. The pool opening is a month off and so is planting the vegetable garden. If I pick up the '62 T-Bird I will be extra busy.

My buddy with the repair shop is slow, so I may give him the Ford to do a few things it needs. Spread my stimulus $$ around a bit, can't spend it all on guns and ammo!

I am envious. Some day I will get there. On the 28th of this month, I will cross over the 23 year mark. I can go at 30.

Anytime is a good time to be retired, but now is especially good as you can limit your contact with people. My wife’s immune system is really low so I have to be careful not to bring anything home.

I'm out at 38 years with the same company, although the name on the sign out front changed 10 times... I was going on 5/1 but pushed it up 2 weeks with the virus. One guy I knew from racing, the virus killed him. One of the greatest stock car drivers of all time.

copy of a post I did on the main forum:
Spousal distancing yesterday......put 740 miles on my dd. interesting observations...........things almost seemed normal out on the highways, traffic, etc. I p***ed a tow truck loading a car, and the car's driver appeared to be inside the tow truck cab. That's probably up to individual tow truck drivers, but something I've worried about on my occasional road trip.getting my car towed ok, but me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. I filled up in Gainsville @1.14 gal! Almost as many Texas cars on i35 in OK as OK cars.
At a rest area in Tx., I asked someone with Washington plates on their car if they had any problems with law enforcement on their drive. None whatsoever, and no problems with rest areas or bathrooms in larger gas stations.
I was really proud of myself.....drove by about 8 casinos without stopping.
    What? ok, ok......they were closed.

I bet that driving by the casinos was torture for you. lol. Here I see the delivery guys, Ups,Fedex,Prime, and postal, unmasked and no gloves. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace are crowded, some staff with masks but not many, well maybe ACE staff does, customers not so much. I see many more folks with out masks and gloves on then with. Here in OK we have less than 400 hospitalized so that tells me it is not prevalent here. My wife and I certainly practice good sanitizing, hand washing often, hand sanitizer in all vehicles and also wipes. I was lucky to be invited on a photo shoot at a private park about 75 miles away in my 40 coupe. Six other cars, one 57 Custom, were also along. that was great fun.

A little social distancing last night. Sadly, it was the first time I have had the 56 out of the shop in a few months. We have been busy working on my kids project pu and there has been junk stacked behind my car.

I'm in the same boat the wife is like the old Ford always needing some fixing she is a three time cancer survivor so I do most of the shopping and wear my mask so many people don't follow the guidelines.

More pics, Joe! Very nice '57, somehow you knew I'd like it, lol. Nice old station also. Private park?? This Sat. will be the 1st Sat. of the month, I'm going to head over to Bell and Hillside to see if any of the guys are there. Normal times with this weather, 50-100+ cars.

Sorry that I don't have any more photos of the 57 Rich, I should have. I will try to get some more. It is an unusual model but I don't recall all the info. He has told me but all I remember is it was a rear seat delete car.

If it's an oem rear seat delete, it's a 70D Custom Business Sedan. Mine's a 70A with the 70D rear fixed window like his should have. Did it actually have the oem platform in the back "seat" area, did he say? Yep, very rare. That model with an F code (supercharged) engine is the holy grail of '57 Fords.
Out of force of habit, many of us call them business coupes, but they didn't make a coupe in '57.
