horn wire

I have a 40 Ford steering wheel on an F1 st. column and box.
Does anyone know how to get the horn wire through so it comes out the other end of the st. box? There's got to be a trick. From the st. wheel side it will feed down about 36 inches then it stops. It would be great to have a functioning horn.

The Wire should feed down the column straight thru the F1 box... Is your column from the F1. There is a hole on the bottom of the box.. u might try "fishing" a coat hanger up from the bottom.. after 60 years of crud it may just need a roto-rooter job.. Good Luck.
