    I did too Jimmy.

Now as a quick little aside - I always carry a small camera that I use for a variety of things, including taking snaps of peoples' entry tags that is also waterproof and can shoot extreme close ups. While it was raining, I took this close up of metal flake paint on someone's roof. Not a great shot, but kinda fun.

  10. That close up of the metal flake is a pretty cool pic. Goes to show you, a pro can make even a "quickie" shot cool. [emoji1]

The car next to that blue one had 180degree headers, quick release steering wheel and some other dirt track characteristics to it. The guy must have been into roundy round racing at some point. I was really wanting to listen to it run. I've had crossover headers before, they sound awesome. Reminds me of a v-12

Thanks David - I wish I would have had the small tripod that goes with the camera to do this the really right way. It often fascinating seeing things like this through a microscopic view.

CWdeluxe - I do remember how different that engine was. I will see if I got any shots of it.

My buddy here started building it years ago and wanted something "different". He got it! LoL! I had that intake and carb setup sitting on my shelf since high school waiting for something "cool" to put it on and he was building that so I ended up selling (almost donating) it to him. He ended up selling it a roller and not finished to another local guy that finished it and he ended up selling it to someone out that way. Here are a couple in process in '09

Thanks for the hijack Jimmy ( and all your likes). I love hearing stories like that. Plus, I'm sure the guy who asked about it in the first place appreciates it. It reminds me of when I was a kid and got hold of a tri power carb and manifold setup for a mid 60's BBC. Of course back then (1975) I was a Ford guy and had no need for it. But I was able to get $100 for it which paid for new M/T valve covers for my 429CJ.
