Me too bro. before ebay I would buy AUTOTRADER, with absolutley no cash and say to myself "If I only had $3500.00 I would buy....."

this is the entertainment for the broke car guy, I cruise ebay all night long. No hopes of buying anything, but I dream about that mythical $3500, and next thing I know, 3 hours goes by....

It's definetly a disease, I accept it, and try to control it, with only beer and grease as self prescribed by me of course...

    We all have our happiness...

    Cheers and beers

Not only is it a true sickness it is genetic as well. My dad suffers from it and despite 20+ years of me realizing he has a problem and telling myself not to be like that I find that I continue to search out hulks or projects and cram them away for that "someday"....Is there a 12 step program, I think I need help!!!

  4. I've almost always had two to three cars at a time. Two at the minimum up and running. The third would be in the works. Sometimes one would be the family car but, I'd usually leave the family cars on the wife's side.
Believe me, even during tough times when I could barely afford one, I still had at least two. So yeah, I've got it too, since I was a kid.

it takes too long to find all the right parts, so ya gotta start one or more projects before the others are done... or atleast that is what i tell myself

  6. I used to have that disease, but now I finished my last unfinished car. Now I'm left with an empty feeling. I could re-work some of the finished cars, but that doesn't seem as fun as buying some new piece of **** that will take forever to finish.

Stick with your sea of unfinished cars. It gives you something exciting to look forward to every morning. Once you finish them all, you'll just get bored and want to buy another piece of **** anyway. But it is good to finish something once in a while.

My dad has it bad and I see the error of his ways and hopefully will avoid it. I think the problem is focus. I think if you got rid of a bunch of stuff and just focused on one project you made sure you really wanted and finish it it wouldn't be a problem. then if you realize it isn't as cool as you thought you could sell it and get some money to use on something else.
