The Cleveland Auto-Rama is becoming one of the better indoor shows in the country. Don't take my word for it, come and check it out! We run a portion of the show, called the 'Hot Rod Asylum' It is a traditional theme show within the vast confines of the IX Center. Cool place that was originally built during WWII for building tanks and Bombers! This place is HUGE! The Asylum is adjacent to the main floor and has the look of the old Cleveland Auto-Rama that used to be downtown. We have a section that we call the Dirty Dozen. These cars are our hand picked feature cars that help set the standard for what the Asylum is all about. Each Dirty Dozen participant gets a custom race jacket that is an actual SFI race jacket. There is also Devil's Row that display the host club (Slick Devils) and friends vehicles. Our Best in Show winner gets a custom made trophy and an actual straight jacket! Another straight jacket is embroidered with the winners name each year and is displayed at Summit Motorsports HQ and the IX Center throughout the year. Unlike many indoor shows, the Asylum only has 9 awards, no trophy for everybody here. We bring in 5 celebrity (traditional type folks) judges and they hand pick their choices. It is tough, there are over 150 cars in the Asylum alone! Show starts on Friday afternoon March 18, 2016.

We are only going to have one big screen this year, and it will be showing photos (and videos if I can find any) of the old Auto-Rama at the Convention Center downtown! Thanks Bob!

Our opinion is professional indoor car show judges just don't get it. We bring in the best of the best in the Traditional Hot Rod Scene to be our Judges! Past judges have included Bob Bleed, Jeff Bloedorn, Jess Castillo, Piero DeLuca, Lawrence W Grobe, Howard Kelley, Spike Kilmer, Andrew Kohler and Joshua Shaw! This year is no different.

    Aaron Grote,

    Howard kelly Jr.,

    Spike Kilmer

The Hot Rod Asylum was great as always. The ELTA Disciples of Speed should have been in the Asylum instead of down stairs. They would have fit right in. Speaking of the Disciples of Speed, anyone know how I can get in touch with Al Wood, I have a question about his car.
