Hot rod building check list??

One drawer for receipts and the rest in my head and the plan by the seat of my pants

 

All I got were a bunch of dead end links and "under construction" pages.

 

I keep mine inside my head .Everything looks good on paper and I make to do lists ,Every day ,Im on vacation tomorrow and going to macungie,No list made....

 

I made one the other day with pen and paper, then I made the mistake of putting an estimated price of each thing i needed...then I thought, crap! I was up to almost 10k and that was estimating on the low side.

I am really trying to stay on budget and on task this time. I am planning to build the entire chassis/drivetrain, then slap a body on when a good deal comes along.
Ive been trying to get only the things I will need for the rolling chassis, but it hasnt really worked so far. I keep finding other stuff, that I dont really need but cant pass up. Just yesterday, my mother who is retired found 2 entire premium leather cowhides for $50. I guess now my rod will have a leather interior! couldnt pass that one up even though Im nowhere near doing the upholstery.

Gotta keep track of stuff. Shoot...these days, if I go to the store for 3 items or more...there's a list. Keeps me from having to repeat over and over again as I drive to town..."Ciggs, milk, bread...Ciggs, milk, bread...Ciggs, milk, bread..."
