If need be, I can go up and check things out. Suppose to be nice this week , so maybe I can get a few pictures, talk to some locals, find some good mom & pop restaurants and generally take a day to loaf around the area. My boss is pretty cool with letting me do things like that when I should be working.

if you beat me there, scope out the park there on the river bank and it looks like there is one up on the hill with a heck of a view...

on the city's website, there is an application for using the parks.....i don't know if we need to go that far or not....(that's up to ryan) i would guess people would just drive up there, look and say "purdy" and then drive off...

Note: Isn't that the same week end as Americruise?
Those that can't make Lincoln have an alternative, Eh?
I wanna do something similar at our little Stalight Drive_in back in little Neligh Nebraska. Hope it could coincide (yeh, I had to look it up) with the premere of the Simpsons Movie sometime in July. (For those who can make Lincoln but can't make Ohio?) Sounds like a lot of work. I'll need help!

John, you guys staying at the Holiday Inn?

I have a room there. Rumor has it that some cheap ***es from Indy are staying in campers down by the river. Maybe once we have had enough fun hangin out in the parking lot we can go down and har*** them for not staying with everyone else.

    Will a camper float?...................

We have a room at the Holiday Inn. I think we got maybe one of the last ones.
Thought about camping out, but seeing how that is the weekend after the Road Rocket Rumble we figured we may not have recuperated come the 29th.

I'm at work and can't get maps and stuff to work with our settings but check out Forked Run state Park.

Cutting across rt 33 in Wv (I think off the top of my head) shouldn't be any more than a 1/2 hour or so. It's nothing fancy but they are actual campgrounds.

Jackson Lake state campground has 34 sites w/electric but don't have any other info but you can check availability and reservations on their website go here:

    http://ohiodnr.com/parks/parks/jacksonl.htm

This is about 35 miles northwest of Gallipolis; no state parks closer. Forked Run is also about 35 miles north east and has 71 non-electric and 86 electric sites. Pets are welcomed so I guess you can bring the kids! For availability and reservations at Forked Run go here:

that's my kind of camping...right on the spot!

jaskson lake would be a pretty good haul just to camp...i'd say about an hour away by the time you have red lights and get in and out of towns....

I am really interested if there's on-site camping at the drive-in. I'll bring my little Shasta down, instead of staying at the Holiday Inn...

Hey Ryan, when can we register for this event? The Cinematic web page says sometime in the spring, but do you have an approximate date?

I don't think there's any registration required (except for a hotel room) just be there on the 30th of June.

The website has an event registration page saying registration opens in Spring. Hotels are different. I'm anxiously awaiting registration time, too
