a few hot rods are going to be having some fun on a little dirt track in austin tomorrow, sat starting around 10 am. If you have a hot rod that you will drive!.. and this sounds like fun to ya Pm. me for more info . l I`m sure we will have some good pictures to post
I`m ready. got mine all back together ! except the leaking master cylinder ? A line can`t get a simple mustang master cylinder ! or kit been trying To get one for a week ? brakes just slow ya down anyway Jim is bringing the rust T ! gram`s moonshine runner ! is getting a tune up to night .
Hell yes it was !...... just barley made it home with my clutch pedal getting lower and lower and not disengaging must have sheared the pin on the throw out arm ? inside the bell housing argh ! pull transmission had to start it in gear a few times , can`t wait till the next one these first shots are artistic abstract photo`s ? OK it`s us learning how to drive on a slippery gr*** and dirt track. and the guy I handed my camera to running from us we got better and faster and the camera men got more faith in us as the day went on. and I only hit the big tire twice on the east side.
you guy`s helped inspire us . thank you this was a one time thing. but we had so much dam fun!!!!! I`m thinking we will do this again pm. me to get on the list for the next one ! and the cop`s only showed up once !
jim wasent going to drive his car if it was to rough out there ? yea right ! he was trying to p*** my *** as soon as he got on the track. he drove like a mad man with dirt in his teeth for 20 lap`s ? till he broke his car. you go dirty jim it loked and sounded great out there ! hear`s what broke . his friends giving him a hard time about his welding skill`s ! not sure about that pinion angle ? .
robert brought some great pictures from austin raceway from the 50`s it`s now where porter high school is on north lamar.
ok this showed up after we told the cop`s we would be done by 1 pm so he did not run it but it was very cool. and we had some fun with it.
