I realise we've had a bit of VW-ness on here lately, but I just saw this on the VW board I post at and thought you guys would like it.

This shortbus once took a ride in that F1 (F2?) short bus. It has a Cad Eldo FWD clip under it. They even let me lick the windows. It was neat.

 

Rix, you rolled out to the DKP cruise nite? Did you shoot any pix of it? I'd love to really see it in the daylight!

Yep do it every year. I was pretty involved in the VW scene in the OC in the early 80s including being prez of DKK for 2 years. After DKK folded, a few of our members went on to start DKP III. I make sure to do the VW Classic every year as it keeps me hooked up with friends.

The DKP Cruise was freakin nutz last night. It's the first year they had it at Sonic and you could really see how the Dairy Queen location was holding them back. There must have been 500 cars and 1500 ppl.

I didn't bring my camera cuz the batteries are dead. I figure that I'd bring it on Sunday. I'll make sure I snap some pics of the school bus for you.
