I'd like to bring the COE to this ***uming he's that road worthy by fall.... I appear to fall within the rules, but it feels like shades of getting booted here... Will I be turned away, shunned, given dirty looks?

  2. I realize some people eat this **** up, I absolutely will not attend a show where some ***hole at the gate gets to decide if my ride meet his criteria. ( which will change depending on which one of his buddies is driving)
Sorry, but God only knows if you will get in!

    It does say
"Strickly Enforced at Gate (We’re not joking)"
I'd shy away from their authori-tie...
If you were really wanting to go you might call the number and email pics to the address given in an effort to get their blessings?

I would guess if you have old style wheels on it and the engine covered up with nothing right out there obvious it has a new drivetrain etc in it you will probably be fine. I wouldn't worry about it and just park in the parking lot and go check out the offerings and not worry about getting in.
I think Vintage has a good idea about sending them a pic for a go ahead if you have to drive very far and it will disappoint you if you don't get in.

I do tend to agree with the "***hole at the gate" theory as well as Groucho's thought of "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member". The rules don't specifically state engine choices other than possibly the one below: But in a "your booted off the main forum here fashion", who the hell knows..

    What is "traditional" style?
If you don’t know what a 40s, 50's or 60's styled hot rod or custom is, check out our photo gallery.

  6. We have a show fairly local to me that turned a friend away, because he had metallic paint, (I heard the guy say it, so it isn't hearsay) I couldn't believe it

So flaked panels aren't traditional now?

  8. I don't know what his criteria was that day, but he turned away a lot of cars that I would have let in @ $10 buck each. The one that he refused because of metallic paint was olive green, so it certainly wasn't real street roddy. I didn't stick around very long, but I hear a lot about what a great show it is and how smashed everyone gets. I personally don't mix cars and alcohol, and I don't hang around with those that do, so there is no reason for me to try that show again.

I doubt yours is cl***ified as traditional under their rules...LS1, late model steering column, late model wheels. Personally I won't go to any show where I can't bring a cooler.
