............for a "parking lot" car show, this year's show was awesome!! I only managed to take a few photos. I wound up talking most of the time. Saw so many people. HAMBers, old friends and new ones......... More tattooed women than you could shake a stick at. Usually there are a couple cute ones, a few "passable" ones and lots of dressed up dogs. This year, I don't know where they came from????........but there were some BABES struttin' around. Spike was clicking his ass off so expect really good coverage in an upcoming issue of Rod & Kulture.
I'll work on the photos and try to post a few later. "Tommy" was there representing the HAMB with his plaque and still had his roadster covered in mud from the Jalopy Showdown. "Tred's" car was "power parked" by the door to the building with an "At The Bar" sign hung on the mirror. The "So What Posse" was there in full force. Some talk about an East Coast Caravan to Bonneville in 2007. "Sawzall" was selling off some quality parts to make way for his newest project. "Kustom7777" was there with his classic "shop truck." Keith from Kustom Kulture Gallery was there from Long Island and had a couple of "Von Tingler's" Tikis..........OUCH!! Beautiful stuff. Met "Ryzart" and "The One Armed Bandit" He was asking about "Caffeine." That guy slings one fantastic brush.
    I need a break............................

  14. Dan, not to blow smoke up your fanny, but it's tasteful and restrained.

Anybody get any pics of me in the burnout contest? I wasn't in it to win it, just prove that the Kustom guys can lay it down too!!

Wow. What a show! The Professor really did a great job this year, promoting the show, and keeping things organized! Had to be 1200 cars. not all to our tastes, but an interesting mix none the less.

I got home around 2AM and I'm still a little foggy, but here are some of the highlites of my day...

#1- For me HAD to be George Trosley coming up to me and telling me he was inspired by one of my photographs and did a drawing just for me! Wow.. I don't think I've ever inspired anyone to do something productive... ha ha..

#2- Rod and Kulture did very well at the show, with issue #3 just coming out. The magazine's "project Square Bird" made its debut, with former Posies Employee Brylan Brackevitch taking a long time staring and getting ideas. Kind of like Paulie JR. does on TV.. ha ha ha... Brylan and I will be turning the 1965 T-Bird into a mild custom, and doucument it in the magazine. The idea is to do some basic things that many guys at home could do themselves. So far I have Radir wheels and a few others as sponsors!

#3 -1200 cars covers a lot of ground. The mix was as diverse as the crowd.

#4 I saw a ton of friends and HAMBers. Met some new ones, and finally put faces to HAMB names.

#5- The Packard cart made it to another show! That poor thing had a ton of miles (and pounds..) put on it all day long!

Thats about it.. maybe I can post some pics that I don't use for magazine coverage..

Great event! No hassle registration (and cheap), great location, easy access to the interstate, cool bands, perfect weather. Let's start with the inside portion.
