Show kicked ass. Good music, good trim, good machinery.

Between the '40 woodie and the "like a cutter through ice" stance of the Vette gasser I was happy guy. Anybody get pics of that AWESOME Willy's gasser that was way back in the parking lot? That was definitely my Ride-of-the-Day.
Sky-high front end, Hemi, primer... what more could a guy ask for???
I'll try to get a pic up a little later.

I heard one guy say how much better that blue & white Chevy custom inside would've been if it was flat black...

That Red five window deuce with the Buick nailhead (401 ci.) is owned by Bon Jovi's producer, thats him standing to the left with the black t-shirt. It was striped by the same guy that did my C-Dan (Kobbie). They took me out to lunch and everything! Very nice guy. Funny too.

  3. That show was PACKED! Proof of this is the MANY people I saw early in the day and couldn't find again, and the fact that I didn't even see SKATEFINK!

There were some incredible cars there, a ton of DOUCHEBAGS, and lots of hottie ultra vixens. Our club won a trophy for club participation, which was awesome considering this was my first outing with them after becoming "official" a few weeks ago. I also got the pleasure of riding up with Cheriti in her incredibly sexy 56 Buick Special longroof. It would have been great to have Faye there, but I really can't be too sad considering I GET HER BACK ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

I made the mistake of standing downwind during the burnout contest. My hair smelled like spent tires and I had bits of rubber in my cleavage! (That works better that pheromones evidently!)

Sadly, I was too busy socializing to take the million pictures I wanted to, but I guess I can live vicariously through the ones everyone else so kindly posted. Did anyone get a pic of that salmon/cream 52 chevy parked out in front of the stage? I loved that car.

I also got to meet Fritz and marvel at the Roswell Rod... that car is HOTTTT.

Thanks to the organizers for putting on such a great event. I'm bummed that there were so many of you there that I missed meeting.

    Next time.

BTW, the Mobtown Greaseball is just two weeks away on September 24th. Hope to see some of you guys there, I'll be working the T-Shirt booth.

Big fun as always, met some HAMBer that I never had a chance to talk to before. Got all giddy when I saw Spikes coverage of the Jalopy Showdown in the new Rod & kulture mag...thanks you big D.B.! I forget the guys name (sorry I'm the worst with names) that had the photo of my C cab go-cart from the '76 NHRA. If you see this, could you scan it and send me a copy?

Great show!! I had a great time, but I think I wore my dog out. If anybody saw the blue Great Dane, that was me and my girl. We drug the flamed Ranch Wagon down for the show. It did really well, just started to get a little warm sitting there waiting to park. I guess its time to upgrade to a dual fan set-up! I wish I could have met some of you, but my social skills need some fine tuning. I hope all you guys had a great time, and just wanted to let you know there's a cruise night there every Sunday. I only live like 5 miles away!

  9. Skate Fink, Do you have any more pics of that little bastard with the big ass motor in it. My friend has one that he wants to canibalize. I think it's a 1956 Auto Bianchi or something. It's gonna make a great streetfreak.

That little black thing with the big motor is owned by a friend of mine. It's a Vespa body stretched something like 8". He owns Body By Mule' bodyshop and really drives that @#$% thing. He's got a blown Willys too.

looks like it was a killer show, but they have to change the date for next year. there were roughly 1220 cars at TY-RODS today. Also a killer show. I'd gone to both if I could have

It's one wild looking little ride!!! Had seen it in a couple of mags, and was duly impressed. Y'all folks back east know how to put on a good car show too, it looks like. Lot's of Kewl Kages.

  27. Absolutely Great

We went down there planing on covering Tred's Chevy in beer cans, but we had to come up with something else to do 'cause the place was flowting in cops and security guards too...... So many fine cars..... Pirate Kustom had painted his Devil Chevy in Pistachio multi colored glitter (The-kind-you-buy-in-a-craft-store) in true pirate too much beer 80 grit style..

We saw a Harley and it had a So Cal sticker on the tank....... With all this beer flowting around in our bodys, we thought it could be fun to play a practical joke on the owner, so we put a magnitised So What sticker on top of the other sticker and then waited around for the reaction.. Well Clark thought he'd pull one on us so he called us over and said that the owner was mad and had asked him who had done this horrible thing. He kept the straight face while the cool coulpe who owned the bike was laughing their asses of.... So I guess the joke was on us.

By the time I got around to the indoor cars, we weren't allowed inside! "Closed to the public." Apparently, they were setting upf for the evening show 5 hours later. :( I'm glad there were at least a few pictures posted. I had to work all weekend, so I cruised in and didn't stay long, but it was a good show.
