Had a 51 Lincoln V8 in my old coupe with Edmunds heads, Isky Cam, 4barrel through a 2barrel adapter with dual exhausts. In 1957, I couldn't outrun a Chevy, but walked off and left a new Ford. Ahhh, just as I suspected, I knew someone on here would not be discouraged by the heavyweight flattie. I still see a lot of the big trucks running as seasonal farm vehicles. In fact, I know where there is a running truck sitting on the southside of Indy. Like anything else, if you are properly motivated you can wring some performance out of these mills.
