  7. That would be a shame if Hot Rod magazine would go away. Here is a magazine going great and will be around for a long time to come.

I’ve subscribed since I was 13, that was in 1975.I’d hate to see it go to online only. My dad who is 84 looks forward to getting his also, he doesn’t do computers.

I subscribed since I was 15, 1977. I like this issue, I read almost all of it, which is rare these days.

Hot Rod is not gonna have flathead powered Model As on every page, but it is definitely worth the subscription money. Read it with an open mind, you just might dig it.

And speaking of open mind, I LOVE!!! that '34. I have been looking forward to the article as I'm sure Bill is as good an author as he is a hot rod builder.

  12. I subbed about a year ago and haven't regretted it. Something for everyone. I hope it stays in print!

I also subbed to Rodding USA magazine. Paul Martinez that runs it actually photographed my 38 chevy for a spread in 1984 in street rod quarterly. Small world!

  13. What?! Hot Rod magazine ending the printed publication?! I object! It’s preposterous I tell ya, uncouth ( wrong that is) , inconceivable!!!

  14. I gotta agree Mark…hard to pass up for the price, I did the 2 year deal…Keep print alive..

  15. Mine was in the mailbox today. Looks like a decent issue this month!

  17. Just sad to see that Coby ran an electric fan on that 34. Mechanical would have looked more traditional..................... @Church ;)

I think the printed mags have settled out. There is only the Hemmings and Hot Rod left?? I'm pretty sure they waited it out and are now reaping the rewards... Probably pendulum will swing, as it always does, and print mags will come back ad nauseum again for a while. Anyway, yeah subscribe guys and keep in print mags going!!

  21. print mags are not dead; Goodguys Gazette, ol Skool, Car kulture Deluxe, Wheel Hub, Truck Hub, Modern Rodding, Classic Truck Performance, Canadian Hot Rods, Street Scene, , Street Trucks are all out there, but not on most newstands, so you gotta subscribe.

A few good prints left, just upped my MoPar Collectors Guide magazine, still in print and thick, plus a small business and not part of a larger group. I may go for Hot Rod again at the current price, I liked it when Freiburger ran it since he increased the MoPar content.
Also, MoPar action is still in print and a good magazine.

Hot Rod has not been entertaining or informative for over 30 years to me. Back when I was 12 in 1956 I couldn’t wait for it to come out and show what was happening thru out the country and racing events. I kept with it thru my 30’s at times and again in my 60’s getting it cheap but everything just got over the top $$$$$$ and just too high dollar and for the most part that’s what’s covered. Advertising never bothered my in any publication as they are a business that needs the advertising to make ends meet. Hope it continues in print for those who like it.

I started reading Hot Rod in the 50s. My older brother had a subscription, and I would read his copy. I started subscribing in the early 70s and still get it sent to me. I do agree with jimmy six that too much of the content is high dollar.

Just re-upped for two years. Sadly, most of my subbed mags I've seen go extinct, so NOT wanting to see HR go away, WOULDN'T be surprised.....Looking forward to this issue for Colby's Coupe and the off topic Strope Scamp.....lots of customizing to that late model!
