Event Coverage Hot Rod Reunion Bowling Green 2015 (Who is going)

Well I did a search to and did not find a thread.
Just curious who is going? I got my tickets this week.
We will be coming in on Wed afternoon and leaving on Sunday morning.
It is our annual "GUY TRIP"

Taking my 12 year old Grandson and driving the black 63 BelAir 2 door on my avatar. Plan to arrive early Thursday and leave on Saturday. We usually park under the trees back aways from the drag strip starting line. Stop by and say hello. Where do y'all hang out at night?

Current plans are to drive the wagon in my avatar, but my buddy Ken is trying to get his 49 chevy sedan (black primer with red scallops) ready instead. Enloe, I am the guy that sent you the material for your wagons back window.

 

We camp in the campground. at night we usually go to the Holiday inn to hang out.

Good chance I will be there throwing down some laps with the Bel Air

 

I'll be there not sure what I'm driving yet but I know it will be an Oldsmobile! We (my buddy's and I) are generally all over the place! Just got a couple rooms at Bryce Inn.

 

hope the el Camino is going by then ,if not, white 51 chebby p u. Maybe in a different spot this year.

 

we will have to hook up I would like to see the car up close.

planning on driving the phaeton down!

 

i took off work for the week. i will be driving my blown hemi 31 chrysler coupe. its been there the last few years. efi the car last year. its much friendlier on the gas that the eight carbs i took off.

 

post a pic so I know what to look for.

THIS IS MY BOY ETHAN BE LOOKING FOR HIM HE WILL BE EASY TO SPOT. HE WILL HAVE A BIG MOHAWK. IT WAS BLUE LAST YEAR TO MATCH THE WAGON.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT COLOR IT WILL BE THIS YEAR.

 

what's the scoop on camping? Thinking of camping Friday night... the wife, son and I. Family friendly? Do I need to reserve something?

 

are you tent camping?

 

That's what I was thinking...

 

if you don't need a hookup it is so much a night per tent. just show up and pay at the gate.
there are quite a few kids there.

Another campground question. Never been to this event but thinking about going.
Are you camping at the Big Bend campground or the track?
I checked on reservations at the campground they don't take them.
Do you think getting in with a RV would be a problem. Thanks Ron

 

IF YOU DON'T NEED A HOOKUP IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM.
WE ARE CAMPING AT THE CAMPGROUND THAT IS NEXT DOOR TO THE TRACK. I AM BETTING ALL THE SPOTS WITH A HOOKUP ARE ALREADY TAKEN

 

If you go you will enjoy yourself. lots of big shade trees in the campground

 

If you are camping in the campground, most spots with full hookup will be full by Tuesday. We usually go the weekend before the reunion and it seems the past few years Sunday afternoon and Monday is when it starts filling up. Sure there will still be some spots left on Wednesday, but if you want to be able to have a choice, I would try to be there by Tuesday. That's my .02.
