I had an OT daily driver Impala. Took out the trashed V6 & dropped in a 350, leaving the original front springs. Then, put Chrome Buick wheels on -14" in front, 15" in rear. EVERYONE commented on how great the car looked, even though it was a 4dr & the front clip was a different color. They could never pinpoint what they liked about it, but I knew the thing had a great stance & looked fast standing still. So, I'm sure that there isn't one answer for your question. I've seen more than one chopped Merc that was WAY to high in the rear. A car like that NEEDS to be level, or slightly lower in the rear.
Generally speaking.....hot rods should be lower in the front, and customs should be lower in the rear. But both can be built quite level, if you are going for the boring look. Race cars, it depends on the theory/fad, during the chosen time frame.
I like this one. It's in another country now but I liked it. Steve..........what do you think? I think stance is the #1 most important aspect of a hot rod. Just my 2 cents.
