hi, my name is Filip Zegers and I live in a small town in Belgium, Europe. I got interested in rods & kustoms through rockabilly & rock & roll music. I played in some bands such as the Wildcats & the Rocka-T-Bones. Started off some 17 years ago when I imported a 1954 F100 pickup truck from Florida. Basically I restored the truck and customized it in mid-fifties style, working basically according to Tardel's rule of 'first do no harm' (meaning not to execute things that cannot be returned to original, such as top chops etc...). After that and going often to the UK, got interested in building a 'fibreglass' 32 5 window coupe (ok, can't afford real steel!). Finally I bought a cheap fibreglass 32 3 window coupe (chopped top) on original chassis. Car was totally rebuilt, '40 steering column, '40 brakes, dropped axle, left hand steering etc... etc... Oh yes, I also have a morris minor traveller (small british woodie) and am very much interested in the streamlined cars of the '30's (esp. Lincoln Zephyr etc...)
Welcome from Texas. Ha, I remember my dad having a Morris Minor for a little while when I was very young. I guess it was his economical daily beater at the time.
