    Hello,

One day we were going down to a local bakery for some freshly baked bread and to mail some packages down the street. My wife always gets the jump on me identifying old hot rods or nice trucks. It might be that I have to keep the flow of traffic in mind when driving and she always watches where we are going. So, her eyes are always scanning the horizon. She also knows we both love to see old hot rods/folks cruising by with a smile on their faces. Add in some sun and blue skies after a foggy morning and it is cruising weather.

She mentioned a white pick up truck a short distance back, in between crossing traffic and cars on our side of the road. As the traffic thinned out, I could now see what she saw. So, instantly out comes my digital camera pre set for infinity focus and it becomes a point and shoot angle out of the window. My wife has tried to take photos with her Iphone, but it takes too long for the app to be called up, point, compose and take the shot vertically or horizontally. The digital camera is a one hand point and shoot with high megapixels and a quality lens for clarity.

The white Chevrolet truck was a plain sight from a far distance, but as traffic stopped the truck and we rolled up on it, things looked differently.

Custom touches were evident and the paint was just not plain white, but a slight pearl white in color, or that is what we saw with our old eyes. The detailed work was evident and as we found our parking spot, the Chevrolet truck kept heading for ocean at the end of the street.

Upon closer inspection, the hand pinstriping and highlighting the lettering was evident and a nice touch.

Note: By the time we were finished with our business, we also went toward the ocean and pier. As we were slowing down for the always busy crossing to the pier, the white Chevrolet truck had picked up one of the free front row parking spots facing the ocean. He was just enjoying the nice day with the surfers, the pier and folks enjoying the location. YRMV
