take 2 long t bucket beds - cut the front flanges off & glass the 2 ends together, making 1 long bed ( i think the longest beds are either 32" or 36") either way, you'll end up with a 5' or 6' long bed - mount it on a hf or tsc trailer - put a fglass bed cover on it with hinges at the front & put gas struts on it to hold it up - paint, wire,, pinstripe or letter it & you're good to go
Bill you make a good point.I wondering about if we need springs. If I do go that root be nice to know the weight of a spring to use. Bill pointed out something to me with my trailer and that is the length. Why it should have no bearing on anything to us it will. our trailer and car must be less then 20 feet. Why? Cause the Boat ride off the island charges by the length and if we are more then 20 feet it it a extra 100 each way on the boat!! You would never think size would matter!! in this case smaller is better.lol.My car is 12 feet and this gives us 8 feet over all for a trailer. so we should be safe.
Ive never been a fan of what I call novelty trailers, two car trunk sections welded together, phone booths etc etc. But the fridge trailer really appeals to me for pulling behind a smaller car. I would paint it the color of my car and try to somehow not make it look like a fridge. Use different handle for opening, take off any fridge labels.
i have been saving stuff for this idea for a while now. i have a small trailer im going to reuse the frame and i purchased a parts car 47 plymouth and chopped it up im going to transplant the rear quarters to the trailer and enclose the front like a tear drop, and install same lights and bumper i might make it a little thinner then the width of my car as so it will look smaller and not take to much space behind me i have several ideas i have found on the net to give ya an idea this is the car i cut up if you see the rear quarter it kinda reminds me of a tear drop this is something i found after i thought i had an orig idea
Motorcycle trailers are pretty cool but a bit pricey. I like the small Harbor Freight (or similar) utility trailers as they are cheap and then search Craigslist for a f-glass car top carrier like the ones Sears sells. They are light, waterproof, and painted up nice, they don't look too bad. Just cut your trailer down to fit and you are golden!
i know where there is a fleet of them in a town in russia but the towns abandon something to do with a little radiation leak
