    It's probably not a big deal to a lot of people but when I saw this, I was like "Yeah, I'm definitely going to want to put that to use later on in life." :D

    The 1966 Hot Rod Yearbook is next and then the best for last will be Best Hot Rods from 1953..

    I just found a paperback book in my Dad's shop. Did a search for info on it at Google and there was a link to this thread. My new find is from 1953. What an amazing wealth of info from that time period.

    Wow. The hardback book I have has a plain jane cover that's tan with a red symbol in the middle.. No cover art of any kind. That's pretty cool!

    WOW Great pictures. I love to see old stuff, not what we think it looked like, but what it really looked like.. lol Nice teck info too.

  30. The club I belong to, still has the same distributor machine. Back in the day, I ran a dual-point Mallory distributor. I used to play with it on the machine, putting in heavier springs slowing down the weights from advancing (curve) and play with the points individually. Then run the RPMs up to see what happens. Throw the distributor back in the car and see how she performs. Fun stuff.
