Hot Rodding and young guys. How many are there?

I am 17 and bought a 55 chevy pickup at age 12. Lots of kids are getting out of classic cars and more into supercars and stuff.

 

im 17 with a 1948 plymouth 4d. ive owned it for about 2 years now and before that i had a 1967 t-bird.

 

Justnicholas,,,just curious, i think guys are getting more into than ever before. And how could kids get into super cars besides watching tanner foust and putting a lambo as your screen saver...seriously

 

I'm 32 and my girlfriend is 23. And I still get hit on by hot younger chicks all day long. So I guess I'm doing ok for being an old guy.

I'm 23, 3x + a few. Does that count. I still drive a hot rod and still have the same appreachation for the sport as I did back then. Count me in. Iceman

 

I'm rather young 35 but still cars have always been a part of my life. I never grew up around hot rods or customs. I didn't have anybody in my family that was into cars or such. We were all too poor to afford anything other than our daily beaters. I'd hear stories from uncles about their cars but never saw them. Everything I've gotten has been on my own. I was blessed to be able to help my buddy with his race car and be apart of that for the last eight years.

 

Tonns ..but what will they do in 40 years?wear will they finf iron?

I'm 19, learned how to wrench with Volkswagens. I've always wanted to build a hot rod for as long as I can remember, I'm looking for a '30-'31 A coupe right now.

I'm 53, in pain, but I think like I'm 13. Must be the cars.

 

I am 24 and trying to get my 27 done for summer.

 

I've been into old cars as soon as I could say the word. I am 25 and have two old clunkers, a 50 F-6 and a 53 Willys Aero.

 

I'm 25...professional mechanic....been building my '31 for the last two years....had a heavily modified '89 5.0 Mustang since I was 16.....always wanted a rod since I was little.

 

I'M 31 have have been in too roding since i was 13

 

22 here..been into anything that rolls since i was born, and i cant leave ANYTHING i buy alone without trying to customize it in some way. Whole family is filled with motorheads and it really rubs off on the people i'm friends with.

 

Im 24. I have a 30' coupe, and a few others. Know a bunch of guys in a 5 year range of my age that all have pre 48' rides. Mainly 32' Fords. No lie.

In AUstralia, 25yr old. built and played with cars since i was a kid:

- 39 Plymouth sloper
- 49 Dodge Kingsway Custom
- VC Valiant Safari wagon

without an old car atm but looking for a nice 49-50 Mopar coupe but they are IMPOSSIBLE to find over here so looking for a descent one in the US to import over here but havent really got the contacts so its slim pickings for a descent car.

I know how that is, been working on my 30 coupe for about the same amount of time. I got a lot of work done, but I learned so much about fab in the first year that I didnt like the quality of work I had done to it, so after about a month of fighting with myself I cut her all apart and pretty much started over. Probably a stupid move but if I didn't do it it would have haunted me forever. Had my 91 5.0 since I was 17-it was the affordable hot rod for my age. Now its just old all the way.

 

im 19, my grandpa and i are working on a 30' model a 5 window coupe,.......... whenever that gets finished we got a 48 chevy 5 window pickup waiting for its refresh

 

Im 25, got my first car when i was 15 and have only owned old cars as daily drivers im obsessed with cars! haha

 

I am 52 but still young at heart. I have been around old cars as long as I can remeber. Being around older cars can take you back to the good old days and some sweet memories.

I'm almost 39 and I still feel like I'm 16. Except for this damn sciatic pain witch makes me feel like I'm 65
