    I have the following in a 13 X 19 single:

    -My '62 longbed pickup
-A 5-drawer tool chest on top of a roller cabinet
-A spare set of fenders (complete with grille, rad support, and inner fenders attached, sitting grille-side down in the corner)
    -10 tires
-4 or 5 Rubbermaid bins full of parts, one of which is the big trunk-style ones (I keep the heaviest stuff in there, on the floor under a set of shelves)
-Creeper, engine stand, and 2-ton crane
-A bunch of sheets of plywood and styrofoam insulation

And it's only partially organized right now. I still need to make room for 4 more tires, a few more bins of parts, and a 302 block. But there's still a lot of drawer and shelf space going unused, and a lot of junk I need to toss. And I can cheat a bit and keep stuff in the box of my truck. ;)

It's a little cramped, but there's still plenty of room to walk around the truck, open the doors, etc.

    Guy's , your singles are HUGE !

Got a 15x9 here , fairly standard UK size , you have to roll stuff out to work on it . Had to build a high workbench across the back wall that the back of my old '32 rpu could fit its tailgate under it , otherwise I couldn't shut the door , had to climb over the wheels to get in the car !

    Moving soon , can't wait ;-)

i quess you learn to work with what you have. this is the biggest garage i have ever had. if you sneaze you have to organize again. i keep my car outside and roll it in every night when the kids go to sleep and try to work. sometimes i don't sometimes i do.

Hey great thread. Been working out of my apt. 1 car garage for about 4 yrs. Damn Olds is so long had to measure garage before I signed the lease. Just thank God I have somewhere to work.
Stole a great idea from my old shop. Find some old surplus pallet racking. I set it up against the back wall. Make the lower shelve just hi enough for the hood of the car to go underneath. Use a 4'x8' (or whatever is appropriate) sheet of press board reinforced underneath with 2'x4' s. These racks are fairly cheap and come in various sizes.
Then make another shelve above, using the same shelf design method, now you can hang a nice flourescent light from underneath. The possibilities are endless and these racks are HD!
Only pictures I can find are of Nads helping me with project 394.

P.S. Please anyone working in apartment setting be extra careful with flammable liquids! and always have a working fire extinguisher on hand.

Not to hurt feelings because it isn't a brag, buI've got a 28X30 garage that's actually a one car with my dirt tracker, tools, bench, cupboards, combined toolbox and welder cart, shop equipment, furnace etc, etc in there too. Everything else gets worked on out in the driveway. If some money falls my way, I'll build a second next to #1 but fill it up too.. I know me all too well..

But I ran my two car racing team out of an 18X20 garage with a gravel floor and parts/tire lean-to on the side throughout the '70s. I remember changing engines at 2 AM outside under the glow of a mercury vapor light with a tripod and come-along so I could run the next night. So I know and sympathize with where you guys are coming from. It WILL get better..:)
