Every year I get to spend 14 days in Maui.. We have a good deal with a time share and I tell you its really a amazing place..I will retire there some day and if you never have been You need to go at least one time in your life.

Last year I came across some random old cars and did a post about it,,
This year I found some other stuff..

First off we went to the highest point in Maui The Haleakala Volcano 10,023 feet from sea level and sure enough on the poster on top of the moutian A Hot Rod???

  5. Nice, I used to live in Lahaina and there were aton of cars (40's 50's) up the mountain on the local "dumping" site. Last I checked they were gone.

Spent the last 10 days over there and fell in love with Maui.
I too could retire there. Absolutely breathtaking. Swam with the sea turtles and snorkled in many a bay and along bllack sand beaches. We too weent to the Volcano summit on a clear day and you could see both sides of the island where it meet the ocean.
Took Route 30 on the eastern side North until the road went to one lane for twenty miles with 2000 ft cliffs and no guardrails! My wife about shit but the views were out of this world. We plan to go back and spend a week sometime.
We would like to use the timeshare some year if possible. That place is truely paradise.

That bike ride down Haleakala is fantastic isn't it? My wife and I were there a year ago and did the bike ride. We were in the 3rd group down that morning, left the resort at 2 a.m. Did you see this RPU in Lahaina? Everyone over there talks about the road to Hana but we also did highway 30 which turns into 340 going around the nw side of the island. It makes the road to Hana look like an xway.

Wife and I went to Maui for our Honeymoon this past August, beautiful....
Driving out from our hotel one night I see a sign "CAR SHOW" ... cool, right? So I turn and there are three cars.... a glass T-bucket, a 70's Corvette, and something else... T-Bird maybe. Three cars, that was it. Thinking maybe more people would be there later we went back.... nope, same three cars.:D That's about it for cars in the ten days we were there...lots of jacked up mini trucks though .
Even though, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Right before I started back at work, I took a quick trip to Hawaii for some sun. Didn't want everyone to think I came straight from the morgue you know. Amyway, I went and checked out that cruise night too.

I sold my modified to a super cool guy named Noah that owns a bike shop on Maui called 'Hot Rod Alley'. He flew out here and drove the shit out of it all around town then had it shipped back. I'm dying to go over there!

Man, I'm jealous too. I spent 10 days in Kuaii for my honeymoon and no sightings at all. Just rental vipers and lambo's. Great coverage and Thanks for Sharing.

Piero. My friend has 2 condo' and 3 acres on Kona and Hilo (big Island) and said it was one of his best investments yet amongst all the other properties that he has aquired. Ya should have took some rad pics of you doing some 360' over the opening of the Volcano!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to see that you and the miss' had a narly time! Now get the "LIVEWIRE" ready for 'Paso. Could ya picture Bleed in a hula skirt playing the Ukulele singing "Tiny Bubbles"? And drunk too.

  29. I was on Kuaii a coupla years ago, my family and I were sitting at a roadside eatery and a very tasty flamed '40 Tudor drives by like no big deal. I about fell of my stool cause that was the only even remotely cool car I saw the whole time we were there.
But I tell you, the Islands are a great place to be. The guy who had a Corvette shop in my neighborhood sold out and moved over there about 5 years ago. He sold a really going 'Vette repair and restoration shop to some guys who promptly ran it into the ground, and bought a general repair shop. At the time I thought he was crazy, now........I'm not so sure. I should move over there and work for him !
