In an age where most people...especially young people... could give a crap about history, the guys over here all appreciate what has come before them and try to pay homage to those who pioneered the sport.

For that, all HAMB'ers have my total respect.

    Thanks for the fabulous pix...

    Skinny too!

Funny thing i noticed reading a few books about the lakes post WWII...everyone looks trim and fit. Try and take a similar pic at any event these days. :(

    Pete

driving from frisco to cleveland stopped at dry lakes. thought it would be a big tourist trap. got out walked around, suprised to find only a little mexican restaurant and a sinclair station.

    Cool

  22. Jeezzzeee! you guys are killin' me!! I absolutly love all the history, but the laundry isn't done, the house is a mess, and my hot rod isn't getting worked on 'cuz I'm here on my ass glued to these great photos! My coffee is cold 'cuz I can't get up and warm it up!
How many threads can I subscribe to? Keep them coming! I believe the HAMB is the place to go for research. Damn, the boss is gonna kill me!
I didn't retire, I simply went to work for a new boss. A househusband's work is never done. Mike

  26. Good to see this tread pop up every now and then.

Hotrd32, Bob's roadster has been one of my favourite T roadsters since I bought a copy of October '49 Hot Rod. Thank you for posting those photos.

Reminds me of this picture of a 1925 Roadster, taken in 1947.
