What a bunch of squares......don't your cars get dirty? I trailer mine to work everyday, I have a pretty long drive...about 8 miles and there is a pothole on the way, friggin pothole put a small dent in my dually's mudflap anyway I love taking my car with me to work everyday, I'm still curious if my new Auto Meter guages work yet I'm afraid to start it in the trailer, Later.

    Just purchased 1953 F100 (replaces my '88 F150), '56 Merc YBlock. I am now upgrading ...
    -block heater install
    -900 crankin' amp battery
    -3 point belts
    -heater upgrade

This will be a daily year round driver ... I am curious about those -20 mornings that are sure to show up in Jan 2005. [IMG]

Small pic .... better ones to follow (with lots of questions!)

When I'm not driving my '55 I drive a '72. My wife has a 2000 which I drive when I want to be anonymous. No one ever notices her car. Everyone knows when I've been anywhere.

I used to daily a '96 S10, but then everything went to shit on it about a year ago. Didnt want to fix it and I still hate new plastic gawddamned cars. I wanted to get back into a daily that is easy to work on, is dependible and will destroy any new POS in a high speed crash.

This is my daily. Paid a whopping $1400 for it and have just under $2000 into it right now.

I drive my F100 (it's the newest vehicle I own) everyday, well not at the moment, because some jerk pulled out in front of me. The thing is they get used, then sometimes they get hurt; but hey nothing I can't fix. Prior to this I drvve my '67 Camaro for 16 years, until someone offered me a bunch of cash for it. I have always had old stuff. However at the moment am driving my sisters late model. For all those who drive late models, I don't see anytihng wrong with that; they are so damn easy on an old body and of course they get good economy. But hey when my pickup is fixed the late model will quickly go back to my sister. Geoff aka Whodaky [IMG] [IMG]

  8. About all I've ever had were old cars. Maybe not always hot rods but at least old. My first car(and I still have it) I drove all through school was a 62 Fairlane with a 289. I did drive a frod ranger for a while until it died. I have a 62 ford pickup with a 390, that I drove daily. That is until just recently. I got a new pickup. It's a 75 ford w/ a 390. When I get my a sedan done, it will become the new driver. I 've had several people ask me why I never get anyhting new. They just don't get it so why try to explain.

I drive this 80 miles back and forth to the fire station. It's a 454, 3:73 geared truck.

I drove my 54 Chevy every single day for 3 years up until 2003 when I started a business and needed something to pull trailers with.

    My daily is a '55 Chevy more-door. It's all I have.

If a repair takes more than a day, I have to carpool with my wife... [IMG]

I used to have a '66 Impala SS that was my true daily for about 4 years..Drove it everywhere..

When i sold that, i had just finished my '32 coupe and started driving that to most of the places i went. It saw use on a daily basis, either to work or just to friends place's at night..

Last year and the year beforei was driving the hell out of my '33 pick up. Drove it to work daily (not all that far, only about 8 miles or so round trip), and just about everywhere else.
I put close to 10000 miles on it in the last 3 years( and still going).
This year is a little different though.
Some shit got stolen out of it at work last year, right out from under my nose, and the neighborhood i work in has turned into a pretty bad area..The shop's been broke into so many time's i lost count, and just about a week ago someone was murdered 3 blocks away..

It seems everytime i bring it there, i have to stop someone from trying to get in it. On top of that, this summer's weather SUCKS!!
I don't mind driving in the rain, but doing it everyday takes the fun out of driving it....
Hopefully next year will be a little different..

I'd post a pic of the truck, but it's been on here too much [IMG].

    Rat....

My 48 F-1 is my daily driver. It is the truck I use for my semi-retired carpentry business.

  18. Well I'm gonna be honest with you all. My 40 sits in the garage while I drive my new Envoy to work. I fix cars for a living and work on other peoples hotrods on the side and build myself a new Rod about every other year.

I guess I'm jsut lasy and don;t want to drve a car I have to maintain much.

Butt.....when the weekends come and there is a event ore a cruise I don't hesatate to drive the thing 500 miles. So that kinda makes up for not driving it daily right [IMG]

I really should drive something old every day it sure would be cheeper. But I must be getting old [IMG]

I only drive mine on days that end in "Y". [IMG]
Really, in the 2 months I've had it it's been on the road a lot! To work most days, to gigs on weekends and to as many shows and crusies I can squeeze in.

Drive my '62 everyday. Bought my wife a '03 Scion XB (The Breadbox microvan) so I could have the Imp. Before that, I had a 98 Cavalier Z-24, which wasn't bad, but well on it's way to shitsville. Drove a '92 Berreta v6 before that, which was fast but eventually fell about. If I'm going to dump money into fixing a car, it better be one that's going to gain value.

Drove my '69 Beetle all winter, broke that racing a '68 440 Charger(ever see a temp guage hit 500?). Been driving my '66 Single Cab since then. Just got the '55 Ply back together yesterday, so that's my latest daily driver, plus it's the one that runs the best.

I've been driving my 49 Ford almost daily now that it's running good. I've already posted enough pix you're all probably sick. Wish I had some recent ones...

Chopped50 - nice ride and what a trip you're in Yucaipa, I grew up there!

Though i have been known to sport in the womans Ford Fuckas (focus)from time to time. right Kartbreaker? But i tell you guys this, it really sucks not having a garge or drive way to work on it. this is getting old so so fast.
