Hello folks, been a while since I posted. I have great news for all you guys and gals. September is going to be a month of fun!! For those of you who don't know my name is James Benware and I am a nurse with Hospice of the North Country here in Malone, NY. I am also an avid gear head. My vision is two fold. One, to raise awareness and give a better understanding of what Hospice has to offer and how to go about getting more info. Two, to help raise some money for our wonderful agency. We are 100% not for profit so all of the things that we cover for our PT's is paid for by either insurance or donations from people like you. So, this is going to be a two day event here in the Northern adirondacks of NY. For those of you who have never seen the Adirondacks, they are breathtaking. It will start Saturday in Malone with a meet and greet at the county fairgrounds, food, games, rides, etc. Car show, swap meet, possibly even a dyno on hand. Sunday we will make a cruise to Plattsburgh to the Civic center to have the rest of the show featuring possibly a live band, burnout contest, header wrap contest, raffles for parts from people such as Edelbrock, Lokar, Summitt. The only thing we ask for is a nominal donation to Hospice and with that your name will be added to the back of a t shirt stating I helped with Hot Rods for Hospice. The top donator will also have a placque with their name and major contribution to Hospice. Also please remember folks, this is for terminally ill PT's whose last wish is to die at home with their family present. No better way to go in my opinion. So, if you are interested lets hear from you. Flyers will hit the mail soon. Hope to hear from you. James Benware
I just had a meeting with a nurse from the hospice here concerning my mother. The nurse was an absolute knock out blonde. Sorta helps with the sad part of it. Support these folks whenever you can cuz they are angels amongst us. Good luck with your effort!
If I was in the area you bet I would support the HOT RODS for HOSPICE,,,, We have delt with Hospice with my mom and my wifes mother and father,,,,First class care and it gives the patient that small amout of diginaty in their final days,,,,,whether at home or at a Hospice house. HRP
I wish you good luck, that is a great cause to contribute to. I am quite proud to say that my wife is also a hospice nurse. I have no idea how she does it, and we hear that all the time.
