What about the hammered out front headlight peak? :)

I wasn't sure what I was doing with the tail lights so if they look like 55 Plymouth...awesome! I just wanted to extend it a bit back there and I stopped before I got carried away.

I used '54 Ford skirts and spliced.....ahem actually I just drew those in to look like the '54 ford bottoms.

After doing a bunch of photoshops for Royalshifter I am really digging two tone Customs. I love doing the same color only a bunch of shades apart.

I guess form what I understand from HOTDAMN his glass is stock glass and it's and old unit which is much better then trying to cut a new stock type replacement. So yeah if you have a stock windshield give it a go!!!

One thing I told Del to do when we went to buy that cut off wheel was to buy the best one he possibly could get. That way you have one less thing to blame.

hopefully if all goes well I'll be cutting the windshield for dirty ed's car except by then it will be mine!!! :D

that said though, jeremy was quite helpful in cutting my windshield, I cut it, jeremy did the finish work with a flap wheel. (just giving credit where its do)

and thanks again to everyone for their kind words!

im still pinching myself that I did it and it turned out that nice.

It's a good feeling to do something better than you thought you could...

Great Idea, I cut thin glass tiles at work all the time using a diamond wheel. Wouldnt have thught to use it in this application, but thats what its all about. Make due with what youve got, and figure out a way to DO IT YOURSELF...Nice work bro!!

so what exactly did you use for a cutting wheel? brand, part #, etc....

I hope you guys were wearing a mask when you did the cutting, just in case.....

it was a norton brand diamond tip cut off wheel sold at harbor freight and was used on a hitachi 4.5" right angle electric grinder.

we did not use a mask but there was also constant water from a spray bottle so no dust. I was covered in glas shavings when done though...

I will look for a part numbr on the cut off wheel the next time I am in the shop.

Like I said it was actually pretty easy nerve racking and time consuming...

It looks great! I didnt even realize you were painting the whole car. I would have figured out a way to stay later. I was wondering how you were gonna match that green but I figured you would make it work.

How did you tint the sealer?

the sealer was white and we had a quart of some old blue that tater mixed in until it looked about right :D

I decided to paint the whole car because the belt line trim is going to take some modification to work and I didnt have time to do that.

Honestly though I think I like it a lot more all one color!
