hell yeah he made it there. josh's car is one of my favorites in this town. he busted his ass building that thing the RIGHT way. and what a sound from that flatty!!! i don't have any pics, but i know some were taken. there is actually one shot of it in this thread. all black coupe with a white grill shell

 

ha,ha, I fucking knew that was his coupe, just by how right it looked. The guy know his shit. That guy is a real good friend and we miss him here in Utah. I'm suprised he went to that car show he hates car shows. I heard the car sounds awesome he started it for a friend on the phone. I am bummed he wont be driving it to the salt flats though, that was his goal. I should see him this weekend. thanks guys and I am glad he found some like minded hot rodders there. I tried to tell the the Hamb has some worth while members.. ha,ha

 

Dale, thanks to you and your dad and the rest of the crew for a truly awsume show. The people are great and the cars rule. Nice to meet sweed and his crew and all the other carnuts. Till next year

Thanks Dale and crew, Man did we have fun, did any one else notice how drunk out is was after hours in the lower lot ? thats when the party really starts.
I would like to pass on that your club really needs to give the older guy (I think he said his name was Tom) and extra round for all his hard work in that lower lot both nights until way early in the AM, he was trying real hard to keep the place cleaned up and with no trash cans around he really had one hell of alot of work to do and he did it with a big smile all night, it might have helped alittle that we kept him beered up and he might have caught some of the boob show (not sure about that one), but he was great !! ya might try helping him out next year though with a few trash cans, ya know how drunks get.

Thanks for all the kind words about the show. Let me tell ya. I could not do it without my club. They are the best. We gotta great group. Hey, SaltFlataddict! We missed you guys this year. Josh's coupe is killer. He will be working with Steve and I at Amocat Speed Emporium when we get it going. I didn't get any more shots of his coupe. These photo were taken by my webmaster. We will have some parties there as well(but not quite as big as HOTROD-A-RAMA). Hope the Throttler's can make it back. Time to recover .Dale

That car was built with heart and soul!!! "Period" that's it. It is down in my shop as we speak tucked back in the corner, Just saying fuck you, just try it mutherfucker. Josh gave his notice today and starts Sept 1st at Amocat. Great guy. He came to the show because he knows what it means to get the real thing out there so some of these people understand what a "period" car looks like. It is a great representation. Thanks for the great coments.

I also forgot to mention that was the maiden voyage for that car. We put the engine and trans in just three or so weeks earlier. Shit they were honing the jets on the carbs that morning so it would run better just to drive it down. I know Josh does not come on here so I will take the liberty and send the props to a few Hambers that helped him make that car happen. Anthony Robinson, And his buddy Greg. "Aka" G-man. They all worked thier ass off to get it to our show.

 

I love you like a man can only love a Jewish man w/ funny hair who understands true Jewish guilt. But that kid who built that car...I once saw him eat a T-bone steak without cooking it.

 

yeah, sounds like Josh. I heard he was quiting his job to work at a speed shop or something, fucking no joke he will be a great asset. I knew that was the maiden voyage so how did it do?? now, why the hell is he not drving it up here to the salt??

Dale we are sorry as well. But once again we put ourselves in a tight spot trying to finish 2 roadsters for the Salt Flats,(of course all started a month before) one is Kris' who's is going to be sooo right, and period. You will see it if your coming to the salt. Hopefully next year.

 

Josh has a few things to work out still. He will be back there for a family reunion. For sure a great asset. No doubt! Speaking of Kris will he be in Boise this weekend for the Nightfire nationals. I heard he was working with the Harris Guys. If so I will try to say Hi. Our Fuel car out of Sacramento will be up here to run.

 

yeah he works with Harris, the crazy nut is drving out to the salt with us on Friday then drving up to the races in Idaho to wrench, then back to the salt by sunday night for the rest of the week.

Quite tame/lame compared to the after party post(s), but this was one of the top sleads at the show. I've been looking for that same damn packard trim for my '52 for a year now.

I thought Beetle was going to lift one of Tacoma's finest billy clubs when I was chatting him up about crazy times. Fortunately, he was still 1/2 a beer shy of being too drunk to follow through! My Mastercard is maxed out and I don't think I could jump bail for him!
