I was in the garage yesterday and found my past timeslips from going to the drags. So then that sent me on a mission to try to find all of my timeslips. Well I found all but three. So thus far I have had my '29 Model a Sedan down the strip 42 times since 2003 and that's with the same engine which is a 472 Cadillac. It was rebuilt when I put the car together and hasn't been torn apart since. Still runs strong. The dragstrips it has been down range from Kentucky, Florida, Montana, Colorado and of course MoKan. One time in MT I made 14 passes in 2 hours. Slowest ET was 14.3 here in CO (horrible snot-slick track) and fastest was 12.2 at MoKan this past HAMB drags. Thanks to my brother-in-law (DaSchaefer) I got the bug bad. So let's hear how many times your street driven hotrod has been down the 1320. Post pics if you can. I can't figure out how to get them posted or I would.
I really should do something with these, but I don't know what. From 1979-83, Tucson Dragway, in my old truck. I think there are around 500 of them. No computers were used in the making of these time cards. Quickest was 14.14 I should also see if I can find all the time slips from my 55, starting in 1997, but I think there are only a couple dozen at most. Quickest is 11.25
TOO COOL!!! I am trying for 100 passes before a rebuild. I spent some time in Sierra Vista in 2007 when I was in the USAF. We were working in Naco, (stayed in Bisbee) on the border road and all our supplies came through the army post there in your town. Went to the World of Outlaws in Tuscon.
