How does a human access hotrod magazine archives? Over an hour later a cannot figure it out. Can somebody help me. Please!
Did a search for what's in your quote. Top result from 3 years ago is https://www.hotrod.com/news/hot-rod-magazine-archive-release unfortunately, it has a link that's dead and it appears this is no longer available. https://www.hotrod.com/hotrod-archive just goes to the main MT site. Searching here this thread popped up. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/hotrod-magazine-online-archives-gone.1337608/ So it seems if you sign up for the application (app) you can get it, although who knows if this is still the case. Hope this helps. As said, it would be nice if they sold a digital disc hard copy so you have ownership of the info, not just a rental fee to access.
It was easy a few years ago , Now difficult with hand held, I think easer with desk top , been a year Since last time I was on / accessed
If it's still up, I would like to find a whizz to write a script to s****e the whole thing. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/538865/how-do-you-archive-an-entire-website-for-offline-viewing I imagine they have a program to spot and prevent that, though.
I have a similar issue finding articles in Collectible Automobile. They have a good PDF but it takes a minute to work through, AND ya have to know if you even have that particular copy... my thirty-odd year library is definitely showing it's age.
If you have Apple and subscribe to the Apple One you have a subscription to all the hot rod archives and TONS of different magazines and newspapers that are available.
