anyone have any pics of any barebone's hotrod pickup cabs late 30's early 40's kind of like this style? anything would help thanks
Thankx PFF she looks good, so does the chick next to your ride lol. Anyone else got two pennies to throw in?
i'm making a truck in a similar fashion with a 41 chevy cab. (don't have any pics yet) i don't think i've seen one much better looking then heyitsnate's purple 36 truck. that one in old skool rodz was pretty cool too. i can't find any pictures of it though.
Here's a couple of a barebones, hotrod International I owned a few years ago. I know it's not traditional, but it was pretty quick for a daily driver. It ran 7.25 in the 1/8th before they invited me not to come back until I put a rollcage in it.
You mean a "Rudy" wannabe? Yea... I got pics... A friend of mine who is getting into the old hopt rod thing saw a picture of Rudy's truck and wants to "build something like it"... so I say, why? "Everyone is doing it"... he says "how come I've never seen any at car shows then... So I started saving pics of them to show him how many are out there...
...and more "Rudys"... I know copying someone is the biggest form of flattery... but Rudy is such a humble guy... I feel bad for even ***ociating his name with some of these piles... especially the last "abortion" pictured... ****ing Rat Rods ****... Sam.
agreed sam. I think rudy's sat right. The lines flowed good. some of those heaps look like they were just thrown together. NOw does anyone have a picture of the real deal
here is a link to a post from a couple of weeks ago.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43181&page=1
I think all "hot rods" that sit like Rudy's truck look silly unless they are purpose built race cars or atleast cary that theme. A truck certainly does not... Like they say... Opinions are like ***holes...
I think I said that same thing about 2 years ago and got my ***hole handed to me on the HAMB. But that's about the size of it. What the hell's wrong with just keeping the fenders on post 1934 trucks and lowering them a little with bigs and littles? Why must everything be a cartoon? But this one kinda rocks. Lotsa cool details http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=73303
Sam, I would gladly trade my firstborn for the bare metal, red-wired, w-headed monstrosity in your second post. Who should I contact to seal the deal? And which truck is Rudy's? Sorry, I should have been paying attention.
My head's still realing. I don't even remember who was there. ...and imagine my nervousness when I actually got to see Rudy's shop and had to tell him that to his face. I figured he knew who I was already and would've thought I was a chump if I changed my tune in person. I was right I think. That little Chevy is one of the things that came out of the HAMB that makes the HAMB what it is today. It ads a tangible result to all our arrogance. It's one of the things that kinda says, "put-up or shut-up." Cleatus' kustom as well...
there it is in its current form. anyone got a picture before the rim change and the door panting. are you the current owner?
Well, that one was built by our very own Lukester... and he had it up for sale here on the HAMB... so how come you didn't buy it? The black primered one is another cool HAMB truck... as well as the red oxide one... and a couple of the others... Sam.
Doc Frankensteins: I also like Adelitas down in Tijuana. +10 points to whomever gets the reference. Im a big fan of ****** murals.
